How do I know if I have Mold?

Signs of mold include a musty wet smell, fuzzy discolored growth, and black or brown spores. Mold can also grow inside walls and behind wallpaper, if you suspect or have known water damage, a mold test can give more clarity.


Can I get sick from Mold?

Everyone is exposed to small amounts of mold daily, however high levels of continuous mold exposure can cause sickness and it is not recommended to ignore the problem.

Mold Remediation is the process of removing the mold, treating contaminated areas, and preventing new mold growth.


What are Asbestos and its uses?

From the 1930s to the late 1970s Asbestos fibers were commonly used in pipes to provide insulation and thermal protection. However, damaged asbestos in pipes can pose a health hazard by releasing microscopic fibers into the air or water.


When should I get tested for Asbestos?

If you have a property built before the 1990s, it likely contains Asbestos materials. It is recommended to hire a licensed professional to test for asbestos if you are planning a renovation that could disturb the suspected materials or if you see damaged materials.

You may be required to get a Phase 1 ESA if you are buying, selling, or financing a property. As well as for a land lease or purchase involving industrial or commercial operations that used regulated hazardous materials.

What is a Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessment?

Phase II ESA investigates the extent of contamination by subsurface soil sampling and ground investigation using various methods. These are conducted when the results of the Phase I ESA indicate the potential for site contamination.


What is Radon and where is it?

Radon is a radioactive gas that can cause serious health risks over time. It is commonly found in areas with poor ventilation like a basement or attic. Radon can also enter through cracks in the walls, floors, foundations, or well water.
